Crazy Sunday Morning!!

We decided to go to the early church service today, so we had to leave at around 8:30. We got there on time, but were rushed before we left! Lily was such a wiggle worm this morning, and it was so hard to get her dressed. And when we had everything on her, she kicked off her shoes and socks, and pulled her bow off of her head... and laughed about it! I tell her NO, and she laughs! Daddy laughed too because I was getting so frustrated!! She has a strong will that little miss priss!! So we couldn't get many pictures today... There really aren't any with Daddy, because she was going wild when I was trying to take a pic of the 2 of them! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Love you Lily!

Playin' on Saturday!

Well we had a very productive Saturday!! Eric mowed the lawn, washed the cars, and touched up the paint in the house, and I cleaned. We got a ton done! Lily was such a good girl all day!!! We played for a long time in her room. She just loves her room and all of her toys! I love to play with her! She is so funny!! It was about 68 degrees for awhile here yesterday, so we were very excited! We brought Lily's bouncer outside while Eric grilled...than it got cold again, so we had to go back inside. She LOVES to be outside!!! Lily you are such a sweet baby, and we love you so much!!!

On Wednesday Sandy, Lily, and I went to lunch, and then shopping at Hill Top. It is a little area in Virginia Beach with cool different stores! We had a great time... but we were freezing!! Lily had on her Cheetah girl fur... Such a cutie!! Thanks Sandy, we had a great time!

My Baby's first black eye!! AHHH!

OK... so we were having a perfectly great Sunday... Lil and I were playing in her room literally 5 minutes before I was going to give her a bath and get ready for bed..................
***Background... Lily is everywhere these days!! She can't quite walk yet... but she thinks she can!! She is our first baby, so I really don't have anything to go by... but she seems a little crazier than most... I know they are all pretty wild at this age but... Anyways, she is so active and I love that she is!!! I am so glad she has this adorable spunky personality, and loves to be around everyone! She loves to play and move around... and I think she is going to be a little klutzy just like her Momma!
OK... back to the story... so I am literally right there behind her and she was "cruising" from her little rocking chair to her toy box. Well, she lunged forward out of nowhere and slipped and hit her eye on the (rounded) corner of the chair! I knew she hit it hard because I heard it!! She screamed! I FREAKED (inside) out and took her in my arms and calmed her down... She cried for maybe a minute. I called Eric to the kitchen and told him to look... because I was afraid of what I would see! He got ice... we weren't even sure if we were supposed to put ice on a baby... but we did it anyways. She calmed down, but didn't let us put the ice on for more than a few seconds! THANK THE LORD she didn't split her eye! I couldn't have handled that!! She got the little area right under the eye..it swelled up immediately. We gave her a bottle to make her feel better, and before it was finished she was back to her normal self. I kept her up for awhile that night to make sure she was ok. We played more in her room, took a bath, and read books. She was FINE... So when I put her to bed I of course felt horrible and was so upset! Well, yesterday when she woke up it was of course very black and blue, but the swelling had gone down. I was afraid of what the people would say at my exercise class that I had just joined! They just laughed and said it is the first of MANY!!! She was fine yesterday and we even went for a walk! She was worried about how her eye looked, but I told her not to worry cuz Momma had some glasses and a hat and no one would even notice!!! So she wore her hat and sunglasses on our walk to cover up the ole shiner!!! Lily, I am so sorry you hurt yourself!! We NEVER want anything bad to happen to you, and are so thankful you are OK!!! We love you you little wild girl!!! XOXO

Nice Sunday!

Lily woke up super early this morning, and just wouldn't go back to sleep! So I just got up and played with her! She was pretty fussy this morning, which is not like her, so I think she was just tired. We got ready for church, and of course took our usual pictures for the grandparents! HA! Don't ya just love this pretty dress! Great Grandma Washer got this for Lil... I think it is so beautiful!! She went in the nursery with no problem... she LOVES it! Church was great, and after we decided to go to PF Changs... one of my favs!!! We had a yummy lunch and then came home and all 3 of us took a nap in our bed! We were all so tired!!! We had such a nice day! We love you Lily!! You are so sweet!!! XOXO

After we put Lily down for bed last night, we made a fire in our fire pit outside to keep us warm while Eric grilled out! We LOVE to grill out... and it has been so cold! So... we just decided to make a nice toasty fire, and sit out by it while we grilled! It was so NICE!!! We had a nice night just hanging out... than we had a delicious bbq pork tenderloin dinner! I just can't believe Lily is 10 months old... I know I say it every month... but 10 months... CRAZY!!! She is just getting so BIG!!! We have been having a great week! On Monday we just hung around because it was miserable outside. Tuesday I signed up for Jazzercise... oh yes... you heard me... Jazzercise! I just love it! I did it before my wedding and it gets me into shape like no other! I love to dance (being a cheerleader and dancer in my past!) They have childcare, and Lily was the only one in there yesterday! She loves to play, so she enjoyed herself! Today I went to MOPS... It is a mom's group! It was so great!! It was nice to meet some girlies!! And Lil had a BLAST playing with all of the other kiddos! It was so BEAUTIFUL outside today, Lily and I took about an hour walk outside! (It has rained here for the past week... literally, nonstop!) Lily is "cruising" all around. She holds on to different things and goes from one toy to another, or one table to another, etc. She says mamamam (but not to me) dadadada, bababab, She claps her hands when we say yea!!! or clap hands, and when I say how big is Lily...so big, she raises her hands above her head. She waves hi and bye all of the time. She LOVES to sit in my lap and read books!!! So sweet!! When I say give me a kiss... she leans her head towards mine and puts her little mouth on my face!!! MELT MY HEART!!! She has been eating TONS of new things!!! Big people food!! Lets see... for breakfast she has been having whole grain waffle and fruit and or yogurt (either applesauce, bananas, peaches, pears), and fruit juice! She LOVES IT!!! For lunch she has had chicken salad, mac and cheese, pasta pickup from gerber (cheese ravioli, spinach ravioli, chicken and stars) some sort of veggie, cheese, and some sort of fruit! And for dinner she has been having pretty much the same variety as lunch... she is such a good eater!!! I am gonna make a list of all of the things she has eaten for documentation purposes..since this is basically the written part of her baby book! None of this is the baby food version... all "big people food"! Waffles, yogurt, bananas, peaches, pears, grapes, cherries, applesauce, turkey, chicken, chicken salad, mac and cheese, whole grain bread, cheese, rice, green beans, carrots, broccoli, peas, potatoes, ice cream!!! And juice and water... and of course her bottle (formula) Lily... you are so precious and you crack me up!! I love ya so very much and I am enjoying watching you grow! You are AMAZING baby girl! Love you!!!

LOVE the new church!!!

Today we went to a church the our builder told us about... Faith Alive! It was awesome! We LOVED it! I am so glad!!! Somewhere to get connected to! YEA!!! I took these of Lil before we left... such a little stinker!! She had such a great time in the nursery... when we went to pick her up... one lady said.. wow! she is crazy! and the other lady seconded... yeas, she is CRAZY!!! As Lily flies across the carpet crawling while flinging toys here and there... yes... we know she is WILD... part of her charm we say! HE HE!!! Again... such a little stinker! Love that BABY!!!!
