Dinner with Granna and Pepe

Granna and Pepe stopped by on their way to North Carolina to spend some time with Lily! They brought her really cool pink and white Boston Red Sox outfits! Too Cool!!! We went to dinner at Carraba's (I think that is how you spell it...) and in the middle of dinner Lily started crying. We didn't know what was wrong, she wouldn't take her bottle, paci, or anything. Poor Baby! When we got home I rocked her and she was all fine again! She must have had a little gas bubble! Thanks for coming to see us, and thanks for dinner and the cute outfits!!! Lily and I are flying to South Florida tomorrow for the weekend! We are so excited to see everyone!! We will miss Daddy though! Hope everyone is having a great week! Love to all!!

Feeling so much better!!

Lily is feeling so much better! She is back to her old self! Playin' and smiling up a storm!! (ps... don't know why it is underlining my post... oh well!!) I put her in her Bumbo seat and she loved it! She likes to be upright so she can see what is going on... such a big girl!! Thanks to our cousin Shannon and her family and Amy for this cute outfit! Love it! Lily, I am so glad you are feeling better! I love you so much and hate to see you upset! You were such a trooper!!!

Great Update!!

Well, we just got back from the doctors, and everything looks great!!! Lily's fever is down to normal, and she isn't showing any signs of discomfort! The lab results had not come in yet (of course) so they did not know what the bacteria was... they could not prescribe an antibiotic just yet. They went ahead and gave her another shot of the antibiotic they gave her yesterday, the doc said it is a strong antibiotic and it should kill everything, but she wants to see what it actually was and give her the exact antibiotic to fight her bacteria. We will get the results tomorrow. She said Lily looked great, and should not have to go see any specialists or anything like that. They will just monitor her and make sure this isn't a reoccuring thing! So Lily is OK!!!!! Poor thing had to get another shot, and screamed like crazy... but it was what was best for her! I can't stand to see her in so much pain though!! Thank yo so much everyone for all of your prayers! We really appreciate you all thinking of us!! We were so worried yesterday, but everything is ok!!! Thank God!!! I will post some pics later of sweet Lily, she is sleeping now, and I don't think she is in the mood to get her pic taken! Love you all and thanks again!!!

Poor Baby!!!

Well, this morning Lily woke up later than usual, and she felt very hot! I took her temp and it was 101.3. I immediately called the doc and they said to bring her right in! If you know me, you know I am a panicker! So I jumped in the car as fast as could and headed to the pediatrician's office. (Eric met me there) They took her in and and her temp had gone up to 101.9, and they could not figure out the reason for the fever, so they told us we had to take her to the hospital (ER) and have blood taken, etc. They said that because Lily is still so young, they have to send her to the hospital because of her immune system, etc. Well, I was hysterical because I was so worried!!! They mentioned things like Menengitis, Urinary Tract Infection, but they just were not sure. So we got back in the car and headed to Wolfsons where they took us right away. Her temp had stayed the same 101.9. And the lovely nurse (i am being very sarcastic!) in triage said "you know what we have to do right, we have to give her a catheter, take blood, put her on an IV, and she will probably have to stay here in the hospital for a few nights!" Well, I then became very upset again! I was just so very worried! So we went to a room and then a very nice nurse and a few assistants came in a took her blood, got a urine sample, and tried to give her an IV, but her little vein kept collapsing, so they stopped trying. They said they would see how the test results came back before they tried again with the IV. I felt so bad for our Little Miss! She was just hysterical from being pricked so much! And she didn't feel good.. oh it was aweful!! Well, thank God the tests came back and it is a urinary tract infection. The doc said they can just give her a shot and then follow up at our docs office tomorrow to get an antibiotic. And we didnt have to stay in the hospital over night!!! Praise God!!! He did say that because she is so young and got an unrinary tract infection, there could be something wrong with her "plumbing". So she has to get xrays and tests and stuff to check that out! Pray that is was just a one time thing, and that there is nothing wrong! We were so worried, but everything is ok. Pray that her fever stays down too! We are just gonna stay home today and snuggle! Lily, we Love you so much and hope you feel better!!!

Lily's First Disney Movie!

On Saturday night, Katie and Stan cam over for dinner! We had a great time playing with Lily and hanging out! Peter Pan happen to come on tv, and Katie held Lily on her lap in front of the tv to see if she would like it and watch... well Lily's eyes were glued to the tv. She loved it! It was so funny! We didn't think she would really react to tv yet, but she was hooked! So, Lily watched her first Disney movie, and it held her attention for a good while! Love you Lily! You are so sweet and we are so lucky to have you!!!

Fun Visit

Great Grandma, Great Uncle Jeff, and cousin Tim stopped by today on their way home from Tennessee. We met them at Sticky Fingers for lunch! It was so great to see them! And Lily met cousin Tim for the first time. He thought she was pretty cool! It was so good to see you guys! We will see ya in a few days when we come down south! So Content

Lily came to work with me today while I worked in my classroom. She was so content! She just hung out! Samantha, Judy, and Marla also helped out and held her and loved on her! Lily looked so big today in her cherry outfit! She looks so long to me! Everyone says she still looks so little, but she just looks so big to me! She is just too sweet! She is babbling alot now! She smiles all of the time, but I can't ever get them on camera! She is starting to mimic me... I stick my tongue out, and then she does it. Then she just smiles and smiles.. it is the cutest thing! I got it on video! I have to figure out how to put videos on this blog! She also has started to grab for the toys on her bouncy seat. I watched her today and it was so funny. She looks at the parrot and monkey, and grabs at them. Then she just smiles and smiles! She hasn't laughed out loud yet, but she makes cute giggly noises. I can't believe she is almost 10 weeks old! Time flies! I love you Lily!

Busy Week!

We have had a great week so far!!! On Monday Granna and Pepe came and watched Lily while I went up to the school to work on my classroom! I got so much done! Thanks so much for watching our pumpkin... it was a huge help.. and I know you had a great time too!! On Tuesday we had Lily's 2 month checkup. She did great! She weighs 10 pounds 4 ounces, and is 23 1/4 inches long! She is growing like crazy! Yea!!! She had to get her shots... I was so worried, and I couldn't watch. Daddy stood by her and gave her a pep talk, and she was ok. She screamed for a few minutes, but then was fine! The nurses always come to see Lily... they love to see what she has on. One nurse even went and got sparkly girly bandaids for Lily! She knew that the plain old bandaids just wouldn't do for the princess. (that is what she said!) Lily, we are so proud of you! We are so glad you are growing and doing so well! Today we went and met Joi and Abby at Panera. We had a good time! Abby is really warming up to Lily. She is so cute with her! After lunch we went to this great jewelery store called It's Eclectic at the beach!! I got some really great stuff! We came home and Lily and I took a nap!! She fell asleep on my chest!! She was so sweet! I love you angel!!!

Lily, Daddy and I love you so much!!! You are such a sweet and happy baby, and we are so lucky to have you! Our favorite times are in the morning, and after your bath at night! We love playing with you and making you smile! We can't wait until you can laugh out loud! You are growing and getting so strong! We love to watch you lift your head, and try to turn over... not too much longer until you can do it! You try so hard, and it is so cute to watch you! You are such a cuddler! You are so content, and you love to be held! You are so happy in our arms! We just love you to pieces!! Thank you so much for all the joy you bring to our lives!

Sunday Fun!

Lily woke up this morning at about 6:30. She ate and then I brought her out to play with Granna and Pepe... I went back to the room to lay down for a little longer, and fell back asleep until about 8:30. Granna said they talked and played, and Lily smiled all morning long! They had a great time! We went to church and Lily was such a good girl! She always is! After church, we went to downtown St. Augustine and had lunch at Columbia... it was so good!! Granna and Pepe didn't want to say goodbye!! But... tomorrow they are gonna come and watch Lily for a few hours while I work on getting my classroom ready! Yea!! I will be able to get so much done!! We had such a fun weekend with you guys! Thanks so much for everything, and thanks for loving Lily so much! She is so lucky to have you guys!! We love you!

Saturday morning at the beach!

We woke up this morning and had a great breakfast! Lily slept so well! She is such a great sleeper! She is so happy in the morning! Granna and Pepe played with and loved on Lily, and then we got ready to go to the beach! It was a beautiful day! Lily loves the beach! She gets so relaxed and mellow! Pepe and Granna can't wait until they can build sandcastles with Lily! Mommy and Daddy think that will be pretty fun too! Lily, you are so sweet!! You are just the light of our lives!

Saturday afternoon at the pool!

We hung out by the pool on Saturday afternoon! Lily was tuckered out from the beach!! She just hung out and sat with us! She chilled in her bouncy seat and soaked up the sun! Granna and Pepe had a great time with Lily at the pool! We tried to put her in the pool, but she wasn't havin' it!! She was just too tired from all of the fun! Later on we had a great dinner and loved on Lily some more! So relaxing!!! We all just love to look at Lily... so in love!!

Friday at Granna and Pepe's beach condo in St. Augustine

We went to spend the weekend with Eric's parents at their beach condo in St. Augustine. It was Lily's first weekend there! She was so excited to go! We got there Friday afternoon and just hung out! Granna and Pepe had some presents for her to open... some really neat books! Lily loved them! Thanks so much! Granna and Pepe were so excited to see Lily!!! We had a great afternoon! We sat by the pool, and then came back to the condo and hung out on the patio! We just listened to the ocean! Lily loves the sound of the ocean! Granna and Pepe thought she had grown so much, and couldn't get over how big she looked! They thought she was so strong too! They couldn't get enough of Little Miss! They loved on her all afternoon. We had a great dinner, and then we just played with Lily!! I think she got about a million kisses from Granna and Pepe! Thanks for a great day! Lily had a blast! We look forward to many more weekend there! We love you Lily!

Today, I went to the Picture people in the mall to have Lily's pictures taken! She did such a great job!!! Just look at her!! She is too cute!! We had such a great day together, and I have so much fun with you precious! I love you so much!!!
