3 Month Update (14 weeks)

Wow!! I can't believe Lily is 14 weeks old!! Where does the time go! I can't imagine life without this precious thing!!! She is amazing in all she is and does! (proud mommy speaking of course!! I am not partial or anything! Ha!!) We had our 3 month checkup yesterday and it went great!! I was gonna get her ears pierced, but I chickened out! I want Eric to be there for that!! So she is 14 1/2 weeks old... She weighs 11 pounds and 15 ounces, and she is 24 1/4 inches long! Our peanut is growing!!! The doc said she looks great! Everything is how it should be! Thank God!! She had to get a shot, poor thing, and was she ever mad!!! My word she screamed for like 30 minutes in the doctors office!! I felt so bad!! She is growing and changing so much!!! She has started eating 6 ounces in her bottle at a time, and she will go for about 3-4 hours. I am only nursing her once in the morning and once at night...and we will see how long that lasts... little piggy just wants more!! She is still a pretty good sleeper at night... most nights she will sleep from about 10 till 5... but she doesn't take many naps, and when she does nap it is for like 20 minutes! She is so afraid she is gonna miss something! She will be dead asleep and when i go to put her down she will wake right up!! She is a restless sleeper! I watch her on the video monitor and she is constantly moving a wiggling about! She holds her head up completely and doesn't like for me to hold her cradle style anymore!! She wants to see what is going on at all times! Her hair is lightening up and so are her eyes!!! All of her newborn outfits are too small, so we packed them away!! She fits perfect into her 3 month clothes and her 3-6 month clothes are just a little big. She smiles and coos all the time. She loves playing with all of her toys, and she really loves the ones that light up! She kinda likes her swing... she likes it for about 10 minutes, than she is done! She likes her bumbo seat, and tries to wiggle out of that too!! This baby is ready t0 move on her own! She loves the tv... it is so funny!! We put on the sprout network and she is just amazed!! (again just for about 10 minutes!) We have ourselves a little tv junkie!! When we put her on her tummy, she pushes right up and really wants to crawl!! She kicks her legs and when we put our hands behind her feet she pushes off! I think when she learns to crawl she will be everywhere! She is wild!!! She is not so in love with her passy anymore! She really doesn't want it!! She loves her baths... she splashes and kicks.. so cute!! We are trying to get on some sort of routine, but it is pretty tricky!! Hopefully we will have one soon! For her sake and ours! These 3 months have been the most wonderful times!! She has changed our lives in every way! Lily we love you so very much!!!

Lily's First Day!

Lily started school with me on Monday! Wow!!! Have I been busy! Eric also had to go out of town on businss from Monday until tonight... needless to say.. I am pretty tired! I don't know how single moms do it!!! She did great on her first day!! It is gonna be tough, but I know I can do it! (I think)!!! I am just so glad I am able to bring her with me!! I could not leave her yet!!! We have missed daddy a ton and are so glad he is coming back tonight!! Love you daddy!!! Last night Katie came over and brought us dinner! Thanks so much girl!! You are the best!! Sorry Lily was miss cranky pants!! Lily got very mad last night for about an hour!!! Screaming bloody murder! Dont know why!!! I hate it when that happens... I just dont know whats wrong and cant help her! She later on was ok!! Lily, I love you so much sweet girl and I am so glad I can be with you every day!!!

My mom left today!! We were so sad!!! She is such a huge help when she is here!!! She just can't get enough of her little angel!! Lily had such a great time with grammy!!! Thank you so much mom for everything!!! We love you so much!!! and we will miss you!!! Don't be sad though!!! We will be fine!!!

Friday Night Out!!!

It finally cleared up a little on Friday night, and we had to get out of the house, so we went to Carabas for dinner! It was so packed... I guess everyone had the same idea!! We were so glad the storm had finally passed!! YEA!!! Lily had her first tropical storm... already!! Again, we are so thankful that it wasn't bad, and that we are all ok with no damage!! Love you Lily!!!!

Cabin Fever!!!

Yesterday Fay was at her worst!! It poured here all day long, and it was extremely windy! I think we even heard a tornado go by... we all went into the bathroom!! It was crazy! Eric was off of work yesterday, and so was I! We still couldn't go anywhere!! We were all starting to go crazy!! We are not ones to stay in!! We all like to get out and do things, so being in the house for 4 days straight was driving us crazy!!!! My poor mom came up to watch Lily for the week and had to stay inside the whole time!! She didn't mind though! As long as she was with Lily! We all had cabin fever!!! We just hung out and watched movies, and played with the little miss of course!!! We are so thankful that we were all safe and sound through the storm!! Love you Lily!!

Fay, Fay, Go Away!!!

Well, on Thursday, Fay was still hanging around!! The weather was so bad!!! I was off work with the possibility of closing on Friday. Eric was at work, but they planned to close his office early! We still had power, thank goodness!!! But we couldn't really go anywhere because we didn't want to take Lily out in the weather. (Fay go away!!! I feel so sorry for those who have had major flooding in other parts of Florida! I pray we don't have too much rain!) So we had to stay home and play instead of going out to play. And we did play!!! Lily had so much fun with mommy and grammy! (and when daddy got home, daddy too!)She has been pushing herself up more while on her belly, and she really tries hard to turn over, and can with a little help! She is too funny!! She is starting to put everything in her mouth! In her hand and straight to her mouth! We took out one of her toys... it is a little seat she sits in with toys all around her... kinda like a walker! I thought it might still be too big for her, but it wasn't, and she loves it!! She is just so amazed with all of her toys now, and really focuses in on them! She loves the mirror! She can't quite figure out that she is looking at herself! But she loves it!!! We have been giving her baths in the tub this week, and she kicks and plays! She is to big for baths in the sink!! She constantly drools!! She is a drool monster!! Lily, we have had such a great time staying in and playing with you! You are too sweet and you amaze us every day! We love you!!!

Fun with Granna and Pepe

Granna and Pepe stopped by today to visit for a little on their way home from North Carolina! They couldn't believe how much Lily has changed and grown! They played with her and had a great time!!! Lily loves them to pieces!!! They always hate to leave her!! It is always hard for everyone!! But... we will see them labor day weekend for a fun time at the beach!! Love you guys! Diaper Diva

Yesterday was another great day at school! Lily and Grammy hung out at the house, and I came home around 4... We had another great dinner! Thanks mom! My mom said that Lily was an angel all day! They played all day long!! Thy also had a mini photo shoot! HA! Isn't this little diaper diva outfut adorable! My mom got it online and I just love it! Lily is growing so fast!!! She is so funny, her personality is really showing through! It is so cute! She makes so many noises and talks so much!! We have many conversations!! Last night I found out that school was cancelled today and tomorrow because of Hurricane Faye! I was excited that school was cancelled, but a little nervous about the storm... I just figured it wouldn't be that bad, because they always make such a fuss about the storms even if they are small.. and this is still a tropical storm... so hopefully it won't strengthen! My gram was suppose to fly in to jacksonville today to spend time with us, but she didn't end up coming because of the potential hurricane! We will miss you Gram! I went to the store earlier today and stocked up on batteries, flashlights, etc. just in case!! So I have just been hangin with Lily and my mom! It is so nice to just be with them and play all day! We were going to have Lily's 3 month pics taken today, but we didn't want to bring Lily out in the rain... so maybe tomorrow. Eric's parents are stopping by on their way home from North Carolina, so it will be nice to see them too! Love to all!!
